Lookbook - Dainty x Casual

So I kinda promised that I would update my blog the SAME WEEK that my Singapore blog post was put out on but.... I didn't. Extremely sorry for the utmost delay! I'm a little off track when it comes to constantly updating any social networks of mine, so do bare with me.

Today's post will be a fashion post (as promised) and basically, all my lookbooks will contain outfits that I personally would wear and DO wear (for readers who do not know what lookbooks are) . This week's lookbook theme is ... Dainty yet Casual outfits! I personally am a huge fan of outfits that would show off the dainty and sorta "sweet" side of me yet still keeping it a little casual.

If you know me well personally, you would know that I emerge a little more onto my tomboy side of me a little too often so a little floral prints and lace here and there would help me a little in re gaining my daintier side (if i even have one).

Without further or due, here are my top five dainty yet casual outfits for the week!

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

OUTFIT 1 : What I would normally wear on a day to day basis. Every girl knows that a little camisole top and shorts is ALWAYS the way to go. If you live in countries similar to mine, you'd know that the all-year long summer really affects what you wear most of the time. Especially when you crave to wear cute little sweaters or leather jackets out. BUT NO. This crappy little weather won't show no mercy. A little lose flare camisole is your best friend when it comes to a casual yet chic look on a hot sunny afternoon.

For an addition, you could go for a softer daintier look to your outfit by pairing up a high waisted shorts / skirt with a floral or lace camisole just like how I did!

( No I do not wear contacts. It's just the reflection )

OUTFIT 2 : Be it for a date or a trip to the mall, nothing screams "dainty" more than a sundress! Pair up a little black/white dress with some light accessories (nothing too "blingy" or bulky), and you're already ready to go!

If you're not the type to go all out on the "sweet" look like me, pair your dress up with combat boots to add a little rugged twist to your look.

Boots from New Look

OUTFIT 3 : I don't really know why, but off-shoulder and pastel colored tops often give a softer look to your outfit even if you pair it with stronger or bolder looking items. I personally love off shouldered tops as well as pastel colored ones so it was pretty much love at first sight when I found this one. The mint green just hooked me on instantly! Pair up an off shoulder/ pastel top with a mono tone or dark colored high waisted shorts to give out an impression that you look taller than what you actually are. (I would know 'cause I do that. Shh!)

I had also tied my hair up in a lose ponytail with a metal ring rubber band as well as wore a Gold metal wristlet to add a little bold-ness into the outfit.

Pair your outfit up with some ballerina flats and NOT heels. Heels can make you look a little less classy if paired with "too-casual" outfits.

Flats from GUESS

OUTFIT 4 : Absolutely loveee peplum tops. They match so well with almost everything from bandage skirts, to skinny jeans to even leather tights! Plus, the flare at the bottom gives out a classy and elegant look to your entire outfit. Also, it somehow portrays that you have a smaller waist which is what every girl look for in an outfit right?! I know I do?

Pick up some striking colored heels if you're going to be wearing this out for a date or an important event!  Preferably heels of the same color as your outfit. Also, pair it with a mono toned clutch or sling bag. NO, we don't want any other prints or over the top striking colors that would be the total opposite from your outfit color. Remember, LESS IS MORE!

Heels from ZARA

OUTFIT 5 : This isn't very much "casual" to my daily wear, but it is definitely casual yet chic enough for an event. Pair up a crop top or a bralet with a pencil skirt with some red lipstick or gloss, and voila! Simple yet classy looking. I personally would not wear a super cropped top with a short bottom in the country that I live in because well, it isn't safe here and I personally find it a little too showy. But I definitely would wear them with a pencil skirt or some high waisted jeans with a thin cardigan over it. Though I would only wear it for special occasions.

Have a simple classic watch on just to keep it simple and classy. Nothing too studded or sequined!

Also have a pair of plain heels (preferably the normal black, white or silver ones) to go with your outfit if your skirt or top is already too lacey or floral-y just like mine! Again, you do not want to over do your look with more patterns and colors!

Heels from VINCCI

And that concludes the end of my post. Thanks for taking your time off to visit my blog!

Like always, request anything that you would like me to blog about in my ask.fm sidebar and I will try my best to fulfill each and everyone's request in my upcoming posts!

Singapore bound!

So… my FIRST official blog post this shall be. My my Sue, took you long enough ever since your blog intro.

Anyways, I’ve been getting a lot of requests on fashion inspiration posts as well as posts on what I wear on a daily basis. Sad to say but I haven’t actually been dressing up these days cause I’ve been such a dreadful bother less sloth on having to put on nice clothes and a full face of make up because really, I seem to not care about my self image so much anymore. I guess you can say that – That’s pretty bad in a way?

If you’re one that knows me well, you’d prolly know that :-

 1) I wear almost the EXACT same outfits…over…and over….and OVER again. No I am not one who would buy an outfit just to only wear it once or twice. Re-use and Recycle is my main motto.

 2) Mascara is the only cosmetic I slap onto my face on a daily basis. I couldn’t be bothered for more. Not that I don’t want to use more, but cause I couldn’t even be bothered to even comb my hair. So what more applying something on my face…

Yes. This is how lazy I can get. And ever since I graduated from college, shit just got worst. So guys, I am so so sorry but I’ll promise to finish up a fashion post ASAP, hopefully by the end of this week or early next week. Fingers crossed! So as some of you know, I headed down to Singapore 4 days ago with the family and Collin for a somewhat short holiday. We started our car ride journey at 6am JUST SO Col and I could make it to Universal Studios by 10am cause he didn’t want to pay a full price just to be inside for like… 4 hours max. (yes we’re cheapskate like that). Now I’ve been to USS three times. Yes. You read it right. THREE. So going with Col was going to be my fourth but that’s okay col, anything for you right? <3 I head down to Singapore pretty often 'cause it’s my other homeland apart from Malaysia so I guess that’s why I dont mind going to the same places over and over again? IDK.

The USS entrance fee was $74 per person and I was pretty worried that there would be a crazy lineup at the ticket booth near the Spinning Universal Globe like ALWAYS. But hey, we parked the car in the parking lot and spotted little booths (in the parking area itself) where you would actually be able to buy your tickets from if you want to avoid the never-ending line upstairs!

To those who have NEVER been to USS, you have got to do so one day because even after four times, it never cease to let me down. That excitement in me for theme parks will never die down. Never. If you are a roller coaster and adrenaline junkie just like how I am, you should DEFINITELY try the Mummy ride. BEST RIDE OF ALL TIME. I guarantee you that you would be running back for it continuously. Even I’ve been on it 20 times in ONE day. No joke. Also, do check out the red and blue roller coaster in the Sci-Fi City. "Battleship Galactica" it's called, if I'm not mistaken. I’ve tried the red one the last time I went but unfortunately it was closed this time round for some reason.

Alright, I should probably stop talking so much. I’m pretty sure y’all aren’t interested in everything I write so here’s some pictures from the trip last week!

Our somewhat OOTD'S. Hahaha.

YES THIS ONE. Battleship Galactica. A MUST.

Apart from Universal Studios, we also headed to Clark Quay as well as Orchard. It was really unfortunate that I wasn’t able to show Collin around much cause we only had 2 days in Singapore before we headed down to Johor 'cause the little boys wanted to head down to LegoLand.

So I also pretty much went on some bungee ride thingy alone with two other Japanese girls because no one wanted to ride it with me. Now guys, this is definitely another activity that you should totally try out whenever you head down to Singapore! I had tried the 20 story’s high swinging one the last time round so I decided to try the bungee one this time round. Trust me, it is AMAZING. $45 per ride tho. Pretty pricey I must say, but DEFINITELY a must-try!

Clark Quay at night.

My little minion <3

Second day's OOTD kinda sorta

The Bungee ball thingy. Looking a little pale ( okay not little, VERY).

So that's pretty much about it for this post! Thanks so much for taking your time off to visit my blog. Truly appreciate it, guys!

Starting things off

Well I've been pretty much just lazing around at home most of the time doing absolutely NOTHING since I graduated from college earlier last month, so I thought to myself 'hey, why not start blogging right?' After all, it's good practice since I'm heading into Journalism in University.

So the blog is going to be mainly about fashion + lifestyle + food and etc. From outfit inspirations to food reviews to even the things I do on a day to day basis. Hit me up on ask.fm if there would be anything that you guys would like to request for me to write up on!

Also, I will be looking out for fresh new faces with great senses of style whenever I see anyone on the streets or at the mall, to be promoted and featured on this blog in conduction with my fashion posts. So be ready to get snapped at, fashionistas!

Thanks for dropping by and stay tune for more updated posts, guys! Once again, hit me up on ask.fm with your requests and I might start my first official fashion/food post tomorrow! (;
